i had a meeting with the professor of Drawing and illustration at college the other day to show him a super shitty protfolio i threw together the night before, and he moved me out of Basic Drawing 1 and into Basic Drawing 2 ( i assume they dont teach an Advanced Drawing Course there, so this is the highest one i could get.). he seemed pretty impressed with my work and that i used to do professional work in gallerys. i felt like an ass, because i never thought my work was any good (although i know i dont completely suck ), so as long as i get to go through a higher level drawing course, i'm happy .

I like that piece! The insane amount of detail pays off. The more you do it the easier it gets, to the point where you are just scribbling without thought and suddenly you have this crazy piece that people can't conceive how you did it and you say "I just scribbled for a while."
