Hello, SG! Visiting NYC for the week and I think I had a pretty productive first day. I went on some double Decker bus tours ( commentary was lame but I got to see most of the sites I wanted and driving over the Manhatten bridge at night with no roof above you is an experience ). Tried to go to a couple of suggested pizzarias but they only sold the pizzs by the pie, not the slice. Ended up going to Bleeker Street Pizza and was let down, honestly. Cheese wasn't anything special and the crust was hard and ripped up the roof of my mouth. Meh. Also grabbed a beer at McGee's which was cool seeing as it was the inspiration behind the bar on How I Met Your Mother.
Tomorrow should be fun. Going for a run in the morning then plan on seeing my cousin's softball game in Central Park then hitting the bars with him and his friends.
I just have to say that I'm really loving this city. It's in the blood, after all. I was born in Queens but haven't been back since I was about 5. Still impressed with how well I was able to be around ( damn you, E route and your maintanence).
Any suggestions for good eats or attractions while I'm here from SG-land?
