Oh yes, my friends, the end is in sight...one final tomorrow at noon marks the end of the summer semester. Then 3 whole weeks till it starts again.
In semi-happy news, Apple is having a sale wherein the purchase of my shiny new laptop and a new iPod earns me a $205 rebate. So, essentially, by buying the computer earlier than I had planned (only minor borrowing from the savings account required), I replaced my stolen iPod for $54; and this one's engraved--it says "hit me with music" and "let there be rock". I'm such a fucking dork, but it's so exciting to know that I'll have a music source again in a couple of days. It would have been nice to have it to help deal with the stress of semester-end schoolwork, but I guess you can't win 'em all.
In even better news, the CD book I thought had been scooped up when my car was pillaged was actually in my apartment the whole damn time. So the whole thing was really not as bad as I had feared.
That's all for now, I s'pose. I'm going to have a lot of free time coming up, what with the break from school and all, so I'm in need of suggestions for books to read. Already on the list: Utopia, The Divine Comedy, Shake Hands With the Devil, a Marquis de Sade collection, Fight Club, Still Life With Woodpecker, The Doors of Perception, The Art of War, Anthem, The Celestine Prophecy, Life of Pi, A Carnivore's Inquiry, Sartre's The Imaginary, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, Kafka's The Trial, Kafka Was the Rage, Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, Faust, and Son of a Witch. All after I finish Atlas Shrugged. So, when I get through all that, what should I start on?

With that much time how about War and Peace. I read it about two years ago but it did take me more than three weeks more like three months but it is now one of my favorites. Make sure to have fun on your break.
