Dammit, I've been called out. I'm a crusty old lurker hiding behind a dead Jewish buttonman. eh, what the fuck.
So, I did drag myself out last week to see Sin City, great movie, you should definately read one or two of the books before you see it to grasp a true appreciation for how they treated the source material. and fuck, anytime you can describe movie with heros who are prostitutes and psychos or could use the phrase "multiple castration" it's bound to be a classic. I was a little distraught however, towards the end of the movie one of the more moral characters killed himself and these two old bats sitting behind me applauded it. As they were leaving they said it was the 'most boring movie' they had ever seen. Now, maybe they saw the previews and thought this was gonna be an old fashion style noir picture with Bogart or Eddie G Robinson, maybe they were expecting deep emotional subtext or old jazz and piano bars. this one didn't have any of that but it did have plenty o'suckaas gettin their skulls whacked with axes and riddled with machine gun fire to keep it from 'boring'.I digress. Not my favorite movie of all time but pretty f'n good.
Time to get back to drawing comic books. I just sealed another gangster's fate in graphite and I only have twenty pages left before I need to do the tracing(re:inking), after which I'll post a journal everyday pimpin' the crap outta this book.
