I thought I would make a post about how awesome Patrick Rothfuss is.
I met him for the third time a little over a week ago. In case you are wondering who he is, he's the author of my favorite book, 'The Name of the Wind."
He's an exceedingly cool guy that takes extra time for all his fans. This is a special story to illustrate how cool he is. I have friends in Portland, OR that moved from where I live back in September. My friend Heather's Birthday was last week on Tuesday... The same day I was driving down to see Patrick. Her and her husband, Adam, are also huge fans of Patrick, but have never directly met him. I called up Adam. I explained I was driving down to see Patrick and instructed him to answer the phone if I called later. I was going to try and get Patrick to say Happy Birthday to Heather.
After the great talk and book reading, I posed Patrick with my question. He said, 'Sure, give her a ring,' with a rascal smile on his face. He then took it one step further and not only talked to her for a couple minutes, but led the rest of the line in a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday for her. Mr. Rothfuss, you are amazing and I believe you helped me just give one of the coolest Bday gifts I have ever given. I tip my hat to you sir.
And pictures!

I am a decent treadmill runner, but outside always kicks my butt!! I dont breath correctly when I run outside, think its because i have to pay more attention to my surroundings and concentrate on not tripping (I am what you call a klutz)!!
And thanks
The divorce is sad but it's also my choice. I married someone I shouldn't have. We've been split since August and I have since build a wonderful life with good people in it. I am a very lucky person!
