revanche

I'm thinking about staying in tonight. Sure, I was invited to a couple different places to ring in the new year but the idea has lost it's appeal. That and there are those I would rather just stay clear of tonight. Not to sound like a party poop but their presence would pretty much ruin any fun I could possibly have tonight. I want an angst, drama-free evening. I would also like to start out this year in such a way that sets the mood for the year to come as lame as that sounds. It's been a pretty rough year. Fuck, there's no need to downplay anything, the last few years have been hell and I want this one to be different. No more misguided idealism causing me to make decisions for others while I stand by and suffer. I want to reclaim the life which is rightfully mine.

Oh, and my half sleeve will (hopefully) be finished this Wed. I promise I'll post pics once it's healed.
