So, on my new years blogging mission... the next for me to catch up on is @missy and @Rambo's request that we fill in the Actors Studio Questionnaire.
The concept, admittedly, was a new one to me - but I really like the idea, it reminds me of endless similar things that would go around on MySpace and am so tired today that a little bit of extra prompting about what to write today is more than welcomed!
Aaaaaanyway... here we go!
What is your favourite word?
One word that has always stuck in my mind was the word 'gheegle'. I learned it from a list of words that do not translate directly into English. From its original Filipino, it loosely translates to describe the feeling you get when something is so cute you want to squeeze it. Like puppies... when you just wanna nibble their ears. Why is that even a feeling?
Either way, its an excellent thing to mean because it really is a hard feeling to describe.
What is your least favourite word?
I'm struggling with this! I feel like there are a lot of words that get under my skin at the time, but right now I cannot think of a single one of them. There is always the go to 'moist' - because, honestly, who is okay with that word?
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Sunshine. I feel more at ease with everything when it's sunny and therefore more inspired I guess. I think it obvious to say passion - be passionate abut your hobbies. I couldn't care less if you love stamp collecting as long a you can talk to me about it and show me you love it.
What turns you off?
Narrow-mindedness. No thanks. Even more so when it's coupled with a complete unwillingness to even listen to the views of others.
What is your favourite curse word?
Well, I say 'fuck' a lot. Like a lot a lot. I also really like 'bollocks' just for how wonderfully British it is.
What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of really heavy rain, especially on skylight or conservatory roof. I always sleep best when it's raining ^_^
What sound or noise do you hate?
Snoring.
I don't feel like I need to say anything else here.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I always wonder if I should have gone into graphic design rather than costume design. Parts of my current job do allow me to scratch that graphic design itch but nowhere near to the level that actually training in it would have done.
What profession would you not like to do?
Anything involving having to cold call people. Absolute worst nightmare. I can just about deal with the phone in my current job because I have been there so long now that I pretty much have a set of stock phrases and go conversation topics to use on clients.
That took me waaaay longer to complete than I thought it would, but there we go!!
