so the guy who was the green river killer, gary ridgeway, pled guilty to killing 48 women. the smoking gun has the court papers on his confession in their archive.
and twenty years later, sex workers STILL have no legal recourse...they can be beaten or robbed or raped or killed, and the cops just don't give a shit.
you know, there always HAS been prostitution, and there always WILL be. in places where it's decriminalized, the women (and men!) are healthier, safer, less likely to commit other crimes.
yet the moral majority still seems to think that if they keep saying it's wrong, and keep marginalizing the people in this profession, that it will go away.
yeah, it's worked GREAT so far.
but what can you expect from a government that covered up the boobies on a statue.
fuckers.
i personally view prostitutes as being employed in the service industry...not too much different from the job that i do every day...shit, i make coffee for people, i'm basically a drug dealer...
coffee=okay, blowjobs=not okay, i guess...
oh, but it's okay to fuck someone in exchange for money provided it's being filmed for mass consumption. just don't try to do that shit privately.
grrrr.
