Funny story!!! (going to take a few days for it to amuse me though)

Just about every Sunday night I go to the local pub with a few friends to play trivia, been doing it for years.
About 4 weeks ago met this girl and have been really hitting it off!
Have been agonising the last couple of weeks getting up the guts to ask her out. Given my history with Women over the last 12 months I am not in the best shape to handle rejection.
So I decide I have to do this tonight, (about an hour and a half ago) because I can't go another week with not knowing.

Behold the ensuing conversation..........


ME- So Wendy, would you like to get together during the week for lunch?

WENDY- Umm Ahhh..... I ... I don't know? Um I sorta .......um I've got alot of..... I'm like busy .....and I've......Um

(well I sort of stop her here)

ME- If you don't want to it's ok.

WENDY- No.... no ....... it's just I've got alot...... to....... going on......and......

ME- ok

WENDY- Well i'll let you........um.........(long pause) I am just going over here for a while to talk to (insert mumbled name here)



aahhhhhhhh Just like watching a car crash only not as enjoyable.

that's too bad about the punk rock chicks. it's always cool hooking people up to site. and getting them addicted, too. and man everyone i know knows about SG. i can't keep quiet about it and i'm always passing out my cards and stuff. so i would be surprised if anyone in my family or friend's network doesn't know.

too bad that you can't share sg with the ones you're closest, too. hope your weekend goes as well as i hope mine does.
