So I signed up for a Gmail invitation some time ago, so long ago that I've forgotten how long it actually was. Between then and now I'd kinda forgotten all about that crazy thing, until not too long ago when I received an invitation. So I checked it out, and it's so awesome. I don't see myself going back to Hotmail for my primary account anytime soon. There are lots of neat bells and whistles, even though it isn't even publicly released yet. The Gmail Notifier is snazzy too. I don't have any invitations, but it's totally worth it if you kids can get one! 
I got a Fuji 3100 about 4 months ago. It's 4 megapixil and feels good in the hand, but I'm not sure it was the best choice. I bought it based on price and not so much on quality. I could have gotten a 35mm of excellent quality for the same price I paid for this one.
Live and learn, I guess... Now I've got to develop some skills at using the thing.
