I have officially left my crappy old job at Myer, abandonned my employment was the the term they used I believe. Thank god, they couldn't even manage to roster me on the days I didn't have uni. And then they asked me why I wasn't at work. So now my employment has swung back to hospitality from retail. Good news is I've picked up some more shifts at another pub, so money shouldn't be much of a problem anymore. I've also finally sold my car, so I can finish paying off the bike I've had on layby for 6 months. I used to ride round all the time when I was in the country so I'm really looking forward to it. Yay bike!
Monday night we had a staff meeting for work with beer tasting and then went to another pub to finish off our $400 tab. I got all drunk and played table tennis under the disco ball (which is really hard) and then lost a game of pool by seven balls (this has never happened before) and had to drop em and do a lap of the table. I blame the guy I was playing with, he sucked. Luckily I did it when everyone was distracted by pizza, to minimise the public humiliation.
Yesterday was my girly's birthday and we went to see a german movie, pigs will fly, and then to the provincial for a lovely dinner. We called them up when we got home to see what time the kitchen closed before we left to make sure we didn't get there after they had closed. They said 9.30, it was 9.25. We ran outside and jumped in the car and raced down the road to get there. We got there in about three minutes, found a park just across the road, ran in and asked for a table for two. Perfect timing. Dinner was lovely.
