So there I was about to give my two weeks' notice at The Winery, and right before, my boss approaches apprehensively and starts talking about how sales are down and that they're looking to reduce their labour costs. He mentions something about laying me off if I don't want to move to part-time, and I smile in response. "Well, you know, this works out strangely because I was just offered a job by my [native] band and decided to take it. I have my notice letter with my lunch..." So, I was invited to lunch on Friday and didn't have to come into work the next day.
Before I've even signed my contract and the code of conduct, I've already started working - sorta.
It's funny how things work out sometimes... I was weirded out the whole day after, it was too perfect and so I ended up waiting for lightning to strike me or for a truck to wipe my car off the face of the planet, or something similarly catastrophic. Good things like this haven't happened in quite a while, I was and continue to be genuinely happy with how things are... so far.
Also, just bought The Departed on DVD. I plan to watch it with my Pop tomorrow after my meeting with my new bosses in the afternoon.
