So, if you haven't heard (and it's likely you haven't), there was a bit of a Wind Storm on the West Coast of British Columbia. The power went out where I work at about 9:30, then the wind pulled a bedroom skylight off of my boss' house at about Noon. It was something, to see thirty meter tall trees bowing and cracking so violently. Gusts of wind would pull off branches and fling them into lazy archs in the air as if they were dandelion fluff -- needless to say, I was suitably awed by the wind's power.
Fortunately for me, however, the town that I live in was sheltered by a small mountain and we didn't get the full force of the wind. My place of work, however, was not so lucky and its power is still out.
I think I'll call my band office, see how things are over there... (it's on the West Coast of the Island).
