So I got a new job working at a "brew it yourself" winery. It's interesting learning about wines and such, and the job is (currently) more engaging than my old one. I also enjoy the fact that I'm a part of a process that actually creates something, rather than providing vague services that amount to something, but nothing as actual as a bottle of wine. In any event, I like the job and will continue doing it for the foreseeable future.
In other news, I bought the new albums by Sam Roberts (Chemical City), Pearl Jam (Avacado) and Tool (10,000 Days). All of which, I enjoy immensely.
I've been reading a marvelous book by Kim Stanley Robinson called The Years of Rice and Salt. If you're into alternate history, I'd heartily recommend this one to you -- though I must warn you that I'm only about 3/5ths of the way through the book...
