I've been dithering about trying to find a book to read that grabs me. I tend to make snap decisions about what grabs me and what does not. It was then that I remembered a small spot on TV about an author, Malcolm Gladwell, and his most recent book Blink. I ended up agreeing to a buy-read-trade deal with a friend of mine. He bought Blink and I bought Gladwell's first book, The Tipping Point. It's fascinating so far, though I'm only about a third of the way through it.
Heading into Victoria on Wednesday to stay over and then fly to Seattle the next day. I'm going to try to catch a movie whilst in Victoria, though I have my heart set on something like Mirrormask, I doubt that it's there.
I think I'll see if the Victoria Chapters still has Clausewitz's On War. I knew I should have bought that when I first saw it, but here's to hoping.
