Last night, was quite an adventure......
Before I start, it turns out that there's a liquor store that shares my name:
Since I live in central Ohio, and it's January; we're subjected to winter !. It fucking sucks, I hate driving in the shit (you would think living here for most of my life, I'd be use to it). I had plans on staying home due to the fact it was suppose to get icy. My plans where running smooth until my brother called me. He needed me to haul his drums up on campus for a show (a 25-30 minute drive from where I live). I didn't want to do it due to the weather but since he's my brother, I have a license, and a truck; I had no choice.
I was pissed off beyond belief. The reality of it, I had no reason to be. What else did I have to do today ? It's not like I had to work tomorrow. I just being stubborn. First lesson I learned last night; I need to fucking relax ! I am way too tense most of the time for no reason.
We get to the Boneyard (the venue}. Let me tell you, this place looked like it was out of "SLC Punk". It's a place where hardcore punk, thrash, crossover bands play. I really dug the scenery of the it. There's a real camaraderie among the bands in that genre, I don't see in other genres. Everyone's so supportive. My brother's band got a good response from the crowd. So good, they got invited back !
After my brother's band played, we just hung out. Everyone there that night was really cool. After packing up, we did our usual wrap up of the evening at Steak N Shake. At 4:30 in the morning, I finally came home. It felt awesome to have pulled a all nighter.
The last lesson I learned that night; sometimes you have to endure a little bit of danger (within reason), just to have a good time. Yeah the roads were not good but, they weren't bad either. I had a awesome time last night ! I just can't wait until summer.........
