They've had two big layoffs in the past decade, one as recent as 2009. So that has me concerned. I do LOVE the territory. Looks like the French-Canadian company is going to make me an offer next week. It'll be a steep pay increase over what I'm getting with my current company, but will require a good amount of travel. I will be the US Sales Manager, covering the East Coast and Northeast. Probably Boston down to the Carolinas, including NY, Philly, DC, maybe Ohio too.
