Another opportunity has arrived. 18 months of looking for a better job and 3 or 4 jobs came down to me and another guy.....and I lost. I really hope I snag this one. Its a good fit although I'll be on the road a TON more...

i think i've settled on santa monica, its pretty close to downtown LA (at least from the researching i've been doing)
