So, in response to all the questions and good wishes, the dinner with Carla went really well. The food came out really good, and afterwards, we curled up on the couch and she let me rest my head in her lap while we read some tour guides to Paris together. It was... cozy, comfortable, sweet. Not sexual, but just... genuine and true.
Today is the day that Carla and I go to Paris together! I am writing from Brooklyn right now at my friend Zack's place, and in a couple hours, I'm going to take the subway to Penn Station and we're going to take the subway to JFK and fly to Zurich, then Paris. We've rented a 2-room flat for 4 days. I am so looking forward to this trip. It makes me a little sad to know that she'll be moving to Seattle about a month after we get back, but for now, I'm going to Paris with a girl I'm crazy about, and that's a hell of a thing. I've never tried to kiss Carla, because she's made it clear that that's not what she wants, but if at any point, we're standing on a bridge in Paris and the moon is out, I may not be able to contain myself. I think that kissing on a bridge in Paris is the most romantic idea ever.
I need to find a place to get my tattoo done. I finally found what I wanted. It looks like this:
I've heard good things about Redemption Tattoo in Cambridge. Is anyone in a position to confirm or deny that it's a quality place? I think it would look good in black between my shoulder blades. It's the cover to Godspeed's "Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada" and is Hebrew for "void and waste," so if I were more goth and less twee, I'd get it tattooed over my heart. My roommate things I should shave my head again and get "void and waste" tattooed on my scalp.
In closing, my internet connection is busted at the moment, and I have to switch out my wireless card for an ethernet card in order to set it back up (stupid old HP with only one PCI slot...). It shouldn't be a problem, but if I don't update for a little while after I get back from Paris (the tenth) you'll know it's because I've been to lazy to rip my computer apart.
