Welcome to SGReno. Please leave a message introducing yourself to the group in the SGReno topic.
Oh, and hey, if you seriously want to sing in a band, go for it! I've been performing in bands for a long time, so I can tell you that there's no reason to be nervous performing in front of an audience. Most people these days are so conditioned by television to be passive consumers of entertainment that as a stage performer you can get away with almost anything, as long as you keep their focus. And to do that, all you need to do is to seem to be confident about what you're doing, and always keep something happening on stage. Even if you're just talking to the audience to kill time, while your guitar player changes a broken string (again!), they'll just sit or stand there and be entertained.
