Car fixed. Sinuses broken.
Or,
Out of the Frying Pan, and into the Plague.
Everything except for the big dent from the recent suicidal deer is fixed on the car now. That's the good news.
I have a very busy weekend ahead of me and I've finally caught the cold that everyone around me had. That's the not-so-good news.
An old friend of mine e-mailed me last night. What a pleasant suprise. She apparently writes e-mails as long as my own (similar to my journal entries, I don't seem to believe in 'short and sweet'.)
How do I deal with that sort of competition? I write back, this time twice as long!
The main problem with this is that when I spend so much time writing an e-mail or a journal entry, I feel like I've accomplished a lot of writing. Therefore it's more likely that I'll not work on a script as much or at all that day.
Yeah, whine whine whine... I know.
Well, she's been making short films and has been doing some modelling and acting. I warned her that I was going to show her Mockumentary to a bunch of friends and she seems to have enjoyed that idea. I think that it's well written and that with a couple better actors in some parts, it would have a shot at... whatever is big in terms of Short Mockumentaries.
Actually it did win Best Mockumentary in the National Film Challenge and was selected as one of their top 10 films this year, and will be on their DVD. While I don't know my Film contests well, I'd bet that's got to be pretty cool.
Here is a link to her website where you can find a link on the right hand side of the page for "Felt: Tearing the Fabric of America."
...and that is my long lost and newly re-found friend Kelley, who I've missed dearly and had recently been asking around about. Funny how that seems to happen right before someone reappears. We ran into each other quite by accident last weekend while I was hanging out with JennRose.
Stop by and check out the film. I thought parts of it were very funny.
Last night one of the artists that I am working with came over to hang out and discuss some of the characters that still need to be drawn out. We ended up surfing SG for people that resemble what I am looking for in regards to two sisters who serve as major characters in the story.
We were going to meet in Baltimore or something, but the car was still too busted up, so instead I spent all afternoon cleaning like a madman. The roommate is picking up after himself for the most part now so it was not the Hellhole it used to be. Otherwise I'd have been a screaming madman (not really, I just say that) by the end of the night.
Well, I'm off to finish watching Snow White: A Tale Of Terror while fighting what has, since the beginning of this post become a very nasty violent illness. No details, you don't want to hear them.
Funny side-note. I just called work and they had already replaced me for tomorrow. I find that funny. My roommate works there also and he probably said something, which means I probably look worse than I felt, or rather how I feel now.
Feel free to stop by and mother me tomorrow, just keep your distance.
Blah blah blah. Go to sleep Ren7.
Ok see you all after the plague ends.
