One tired and delirious update.
Had a great time this weekend. Wonderful and beautiful people were involved in making it that way. A big thanks to them for being so wonderful and beautiful. Especially if it was accidental.
Club Orpheus was a little (er... a lot) different on Saturday night than it usually is. The music just didn't seem to do much for people for the most part. Rarely have I seen it so crowded and never have I seen the dance floor so empty even with half the crowd that they had last night. Which is a real shame. I believe that next week the regular DJ's will be back and things will be normal again. Yes, I used the word "normal" when describing Club Orpheus. Figuratively of course.
Constantine was good enough to not make me regret paying to see it. But it will never make my list of favorite movies.
There was one downer yesterday. A deer ran out in front of me and I slowed to a near-stop and missed it. Another ran out of the woods while I was stopped (ok not stopped but crawling), sideswiped me, and demolished the front quarter panel of my car and knocked the driver's-side mirror off. She was so small, just a young one. The poor girl broke her back as a result. So the first thing I had to do when I got to my mother's house, was to ask my stepfather if I could borrow a gun.
"Happy Anniversary. May I borrow a loaded gun for a few minutes?"
I felt like a monster. But allowing her to remain half-paralyzed and in pain would have been far worse.
On a more positive note, I just ate a fortune cookie that says, "You have a natural grace and great consideration for others."
I appreciate that the cookie recognized that.
