Went to see FANTOMAS last night at Stubb's. It was mindblowing! For those that don't know FANTOMAS is a band that consists of:
Mike Patton: Vocals
Dave Lombardo: Drums
Buzz Osbourne: Guitar
Trevor Dunn: Bass
They played for about an hour and opened up with the Godfather Theme. Check out their album Directors Cut. It's full of their versions of various movie theme songs. I really can't describe the show and do it justice, but it was an inspiring experience. It's great to see a band do something really different and creative.
MELT BANANA and END opened up the show. Although I missed the last part of the END show, MELT BANANA was great. They're from TOKYO, JAPAN and I really can't describe the music, but say that it too is different than your normal rock music and that's a GOOD thing. All in attendance cheered.
