sooo, i guess my brothers convoy was hit in Iraq which raises a few issues in my head:
A) My mother takes waaay too long with the bullshit info ("...so i called Janice to confirm, but she wasn't there and when she called back at 6:00 i was busy with a customer and...") and not the pertinent info (ie, your brother's OK)
B) When the news says something like "nobody was killed in the attack with only two suffering injuries to their legs" it means some kid your brother was friends with for 5 years has lost both his fucking legs...
C) ugh
i'm really happy he's ok, but sad for the shit he's in. in a weird way it makes me angy with my parents for voting for the guy who sent all these kids there and for previously encouraging him towards the military...but the gravity of the situation usually keeps me from dwelling on things that are really out of all of our control.
ps...my mother has asked to pray for me for years, to which i've been very adamantly against, but i did ask her to pray for him, even though i think it would annoy him too...just a thought.

A good friend of mine is in Iraq right now. He's able to get online though and tell me first hand about all the "lovely" little things that happen around him.
