Hiya!
So, things are getting better here in New York, (apart from the weather, which is pants!
But at least I have some cute wellies to stop my feet getting soaked now
). I've made a friend (yes, just the one haha) and I'm not getting lost in the street so much.
School's going ok, but why OH WHY is it that as soon as something you previously enjoyed becomes "homework" you start to find it harder and it kind becomes a chore?! I mean, even though it was completely my choice to come to this school, every day I'm finding it a little more difficult to accept the "authority" these teachers have over me as a performer. They tell you that there is no "right" or "wrong" but then you dont do what they want you to do and it seems that apparently, there is a "wrong"! I really want to be open to their ideas because I know I can use a lot of improvement, but I still want to be free as an "artist" (I hate saying that haha) myself and not constantly have to be concerned about whether or not they "like" it.
No pics of my new tatt yet, soz, I have to find some kinda program from someone that'll let me resize them. I finally scanned in all the pics from my LA and Montreal trips earlier in the year too, so as soon as I can resize those I'll put 'em up too
I met the lovely Persya TWICE in the last week and I didnt realise it was her until she told me, sorry hun!
I've been abit spacey recently...in my own little world. Just gimme a good smack next time! Hopefully we can hang out properly soon...
Went to see The Faint on Saturday, they were absoutely WIKKID! Made me want to dance so much. I'm getting more and more frustrated at the lack of music in my life, in terms of me actually doing it myself....I WANT to meet some likeminded, inspirational musicians who I click with completely, but I just can't seem to Maybe I'm not going to the right places. *sigh* I WILL get my act together soon!
I finally got some headshots done the other week, which turned out pretty good, the photographer did them for free anyways, so I cant complain! I just need to get them sorted out now so I can start going for auditions and stuff. eek!
I just found out about thewishlist feature on all the girls' profiles, so I've started one but its kinda funny to me....it just makes me laugh that guys (or girls!) don't even buy me drinks in bars, but hey, I figured OF COURSE someone will wanna buy me a digital piano!??!! hahahahaha
Ok, thats enough of my shit for today, hope you're all staying sparkly...
