Something odd is affecting my health and I'm a little concerned. A few weeks ago I just didn't feel 'normal'. First it started with fatigue and slight pains in my lower intestines, like a dull burning sensation. And I quit being hungry, just wanting something about once a day. I thought maybe it had to do with work, which always puts a strain on me physically. Either I miss a meal or am out in the elements or in an environment that isn't all that pleasant. But usually after a while I feel fine. Not so this time. It's like I'm 'off' by just a slight bit. Then the light-headed dizzy spells started, which didn't put my underlying concern to rest either. So I finally went to the doctor. Unfortunately it was over Thanksgiving so no in-depth check was done. I got a dose of antibiotics and was told to return for a follow up where they would do some blood work. That was today. I'm not really sure if they will find something, but I'm ready for this to at least have a cause. Then I can know where to go with it or if I just have to consider this state my new normal. They didn't say how long it would take for them to do the test, but if I get rsults by Friday I will be surprised. He kept hinting that it could be some kind of flu precursor, but I have no fever and no real body pains outside the stomach discomfort. I swear I'm not a hypochondriac; in fact I only go to the doctor in about 18 month intervals. Right now I 'm not as worried as I am curious. If I had a huge lump sticking out of my liver or was puking up blood, then I could be worried. But not feeling well just isn't specific enough to begin looking for answers. meh.
I'll post up some results from the blood work when I get them. Til then, stay riveted to your seats!
