I took the ability to communicate verbally for granted until this week. For some reason, I have lost the ability to construct and convey a complete thought through words. It's wierd, because I have whatever I want to say formulated in my head, but the words get hung up somewhere between my brain and my tongue. So I basically start sentences, stammer, glance around in thought, then look at the person I'm (not) speaking to and see them look back with straight-forward confused reactions. I have one possible solution: one of those LED belt buckles that scrolls messages across it. If anyone asks me a question, I could just turn it on and an appropriate answer would appear.
"So, you feeling alright today?"
"... p.i.m.p.i.n..."
"Hey that great to know!"
I blame my troubles on the fact that I have yet to finish my Christmas shopping. I have no idea what to get anyone and only a few days to finish. But I'm confident I'll get everything done. I just watched "Elf" so now I'm inspired with Christmas spirit. Ed Asner kicks ass!
Happy Holidays, everyone!!!
