It was lunch today. We happened to get off a call at the same time. I went to sit in the cafeteria and eat some chips with my friend Katie. The cute girl comes in and sits next to me. Deciding now was as good a time as ever, I went for it. I pulled out my iPhone, typed her name in the new contact field, put it in front of her.
"Fill in the blank." She eyes me with combination of amusement and cynicism.
"This is how you're asking me for my number?"
"Yep." I stand fast.
"Denied. Try again tomorrow though..." Burn.
It's a game to her. That's okay. I'll play, for now. It's on.
