I've had some time since Friday to play both games that I got. I bought GTA Liberty City Stories and I rented Hitman: Blood Money. I've played both extensively with the amount of free time I had on the weekend, and now the free time I have until I start my job on Monday. So let's review.
Game reviews:
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories: This game is definitely my favorite of the two. I'm a huge fan of the GTA series. I started back when it was an overhead pixellated view of the first GTA on the Playstation. I've loved it pretty much ever since, although I never did really get into it plotwise until GTA 3 premiered for the ps2. All in all, GTA Liberty City Stories was a pretty good game. I'd place it at about slightly below Vice City but above GTA 3 as far as overall goodness. It had all the vehicles and most of the weapons from Vice City, but there were no planes to fly, which was kind of disappointing. The missions are fun and sometimes hard, and there were definitely no insanely hard ones like in Vice City or San Andreas. Those of you that played either of those may remember the race right before the bank heist in Vice City, or that worthless toy plane killing all the messengers in San Andreas. There's even multiple costumes to pick out, although you don't get the freedom you did for San Andreas. That said, I'd give this a 4 out of 5 stars.
Hitman: Blood Money Definitely an amusing title. But not my kind of game. I'm more of a first person or third person shooter than I am for espionage and subterfuge. Still, this game did have some interesting plot points (like when I shot out the glass bottom of a jacuzzi seventy feet above me on the second floor of the building I was in and all the people sitting in the jacuzzi fell to their deaths). I didn't play it long enough to beat it however because too many things are needed to be too precise. Maybe one day when I'm a little bored or have more patience I'll try it, but I think I'll probably end up taking it back soon. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
I want to write a GTA style story. Something crime drama. I've always loved storylines that follow the way someone gets Made in the mob. Maybe I'll do that. Dominic Mastrano. Anyone wanna read it when I'm done? I tend to write little bits and pieces, chapters at a time that are like short stories, but then string together to make a longer one. That's when I can stand my own writing. We're our own worst critics, ya know?
So I got this job at Radioshack. I'm looking forward to it. It's not really my bag, and honestly, if I can get a better one, I'll drop this one like it's hot. But for the time being, having money coming in instead of being drained from me is a very good thing. It's minimum wage. 6.50 here in Illinois. I can definitely use this job to save up, but when I move out, I'm either going to want to find a second part time job (boo) or a full time one that pays at least 9 or 10 dollars an hour. I'm going to be picky about my roommate too. I'd love to have either "one of the guys" or an attractive female roommate.
I'm waving off my approach to the girl I kinda like. She has a crush on someone, and she never did respond to my e-mail. I also haven't called her even though I've had her number like 11 days. I took the initial signs to mean she's not interested, because I don't want to end up in a clusterfuck like the last girl I liked.
Alright folks. I'm spent. Much love.
