I used some of my limited funding from yesterday's paycheck to rent Tomb Raider: Legend. . I played it a lot yesterday and I have to say, this is a 4 out of 5 stars game. The graphics are awesome, the storyline is engaging beyond anything I could come up with, and the controls are really tight. There's the gymnastic element that I loved in all the Prince of Persia games, except it's set in modern times and is more realistic as far as such things go, so it's got me hooked. The storyline...I get jealous when I see storylines that are way more intricate than what I could come up with. And man, the dudes that designed the tomb traps in the game and the tombs themselves? Blow my mind. Only thing that bugs me a little bit are the occasional puzzles that make you scratch your head and go What the fuck?!. But even those are relatively easy compared to previous Tomb Raider games, none of which I could even play through the first half hour of.

Yesterday was actually a pretty good day. It took my mind off of my worries lately. First I rented the Tomb Raider videogame, then I saw United 93. It was a pretty good movie, although very intense, and I'm not sure how critics are gonna take this thing. After that, I got to go to Jen's house and play City of Villains and create the Villain that's been wandering around in my mind for the past 3 days. He was awesome. After that, I got together with the guys and saw Ice Age 2. Laughing and watching a movie with the Musketeers was an experience that made me remember that sometimes it is the little things that matter. smile
