well, it has started snowing here and it seems that its pretty serious about it. some reports have the total accumulation projected to be about 30 inches, which would be pretty damn cool. i definitely miss the big storms in the west, so maybe this will give me some sort of relief from that aspect of home-sickness.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. In DC they predicted 8-12 inches yesterday, and people were panicking, grocery stores packed with people stocking up for the long weekend stranded at home, etc, all for a paltry 4 inches. It was a little more dramatic at the folks' house, because we had no heat for 24 hours, but we made it through ok.
