Beantown and silly pictures.
Okay, so, going to be shipping up to my wonderful birthplace of Merrimack, NH, on July 1st, officially. Going to be spending my few months there in Boston recording, primarily. But, it should be a lovely return home nonetheless.
Spent all day in the studio, and things are coming along wonderfully. The producers are happy, the band is happy, I am happy, and the folks from the label-who are footing the bill-are happy. Good. So far, 24 people have sent me messages in regard to having me write songs for them. That is incredible. Thank you all so much for your participation in these two albums. They are laborious, but a labor of love. I am glad we could share some of the lovin'. I am going to keep the offer open for 3 more people. If you have anything, or anyone, that is near or dear to you, or that you hate, or anything under the sun, that you would like a song written about, shoot me a message. I have been blogging for the past few days about how I wanted to make something that was partially inspired by the people who will be listening (hopefully) to it. Like I said before, I can't promise it will definitely make either album, as the producers and label folks have a lot to say in regard to the final product, but I will write something for every inquiry, and post a recorded version or video of us playing it on here and credit you as the sole inspiration behind whatever madness you have us create.
As a reward, I would like to share a picture with you fine folks. We got a new couch in the studio lobby, and being a habitual napper, I had to give it a test snooze with my iPod playing some mellow jams. Our studio guitarist, Rockin' Ron Hardy, tried to get a picture of me snoring away, but I quickly woke up and tried to look super cool and as if I hadn't been snoring away. The result was the cheesiest, and lamest picture of all time. I am rather clean cut today, and wearing glasses, which is odd. Sometimes it is good to change things up.
Lastly... PLAYOFF HOCKEY. Who would have thought the Pens would go down two to Philly, and that LA would go up two on Vancouver? Love it. Bruins, don't let me down.
