Sorry, folks--no pictures today... just a couple of things I'd like to share.
On the lighter side--it's a brand-new MANOR for you this weekend!
Well, summoning The Big Guy didn't quite work out the way we planned--things are still chaotic at both the MANOR and at the Paper Wing Theatre... but our resident witch RIP has returned to make everything okay... right? She's even going to help those nice young ladies who were shopping for a puppy--that's nice of her... right? But just WHO is going to wind up on a leash? Find out as we present PAUL NASCHY as WALDEMAR DANINSKY in a film we bet YOU haven't SEEN!!!
It's all yours at the MANOR!

Meantime, I think I might have gotten someone thrown off of Facebook--and if I did, I'm glad!
Today was/is Spirit Day--I joined a multitude who wore purple to share the message that bullying is wrong--and specifically to mourn those who recently took their lives as a result of such bullying... in these cases, for being gay. I did it to stick up for my family, my friends, my colleagues and my coworkers because there's no room for such hatred in my life.
There are those who disagree with me--and they have the right to disagree. If their religion compels them to say otherwise, they have the right to say otherwise. If their personal OPINION compels them to say otherwise, they have the right to say otherwise. Freedom of speech works both ways.
However, that freedom does NOT extend to posting an unbelievably cruel FB page which quite literally encouraged people to grab a baseball bat and use it to beat up anyone they saw wearing purple today!
Yeah, I saw that. And I didn't see purple. I saw RED.
First, I informed the young lady that she was one of the most loathsomely ignorant people I had ever had the displeasure of encountering. And then I informed her that as she was advocating breaking the law, I had every right to notify the police.
She responded: "I'm not advocating breaking the law."
Me: "Yes, you ARE advocating breaking the law. Your link says to go out and BEAT anyone wearing purple with a BASEBALL BAT. That's AGAINST THE LAW. Tell me where I'm mistaken!"
THAT earned me a new friend or two. But no further response from the nice young lady. I duly reported the page... and whaddya know--by this morning, neither the page nor the lady were anywhere to be found on FB.
So you'll have to take my word for this one.
Happy Spirit Day.
I'll post a more traditional blog soon--no doubt my friends are busy providing the pictures right now!
All the best,
Remo D.
