We had an absolute blast presenting ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND at the Paper Wing Theatre, and we've got every weekend for the rest of the month to do the same for you! Last night (Saturday) we played to an absolutely packed house--containing not one single person known to me personally--and we SLEW. But it'll always be our Friday opening that stays with me... thanks to some extra-special friends...
...I simply cannot say enough good things about Cadavre, whom you've encountered on this blog many a time. I've made many a good friend on this site, but believe it or not, as of Friday, she's the first that I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. And that's because she, BF Corey and good friends Kati and Dustin made the trip to Monterey JUST to see our show. There they were, waiting for me on the steps of the theatre when I got off the bus at 6PM. It was two hours to showtime for a show that usually requires an hour of my prep time for makeup alone... but the very LEAST I could do was take them out for a pizza after all that driving. Hours worth of conversation were crammed into a too-tiny window before I absolutely HAD to get back inside the theatre. Ah, but I had something extra to take inside with me... Cadavre herself, in lieu of opening night flowers, had prepared a special "cookie bouquet" for me, which I made sure was immortalized in a picture before it was devoured...
Okay, the bouquet is clearly visible in this picture... look for the zombie cookie and look for the "Remo" cookie, but be advised ahead of time that my rather disturbing special makeup for the ALICE show is also prominently on display, so this one has to be hidden by a spoiler...
We had ourselves a pre-show ritual in which a designated cast member decided who would get an individual cheer for the night... and it went something like: "Well, since he brought his fan club with him tonight, it's gotta be Mister D!" Amazing.
There they were, all gothed-out and looking marvelous in the front row for our debut performance (which DID have a very nice turnout, thank you). There they all were after the show--they may have come to see me, but they enjoyed the whole thing (especially the White Rabbit, I must say )! And Cadavre will probably have some post-show snaps for you (which I'll also share as I get them)--this time WITHOUT the scary scars (which have to be removed between acts due to a supplemental Act 2 role I play). Yes, in this show I'm down to my undies getting spanked by a riding crop... as if I'd be embarrassed in front of this company? Someone told me I'd never live it down--I replied that I don't NEED to live it down--I'm proud of everything I do on stage. Besides, what on earth right would I have to be shy in front of Cadavre or ANY of you?
After the show and the greetings, the "cookie-quet" was gratefully divvied up and devoured by the entire cast, all of whom expressed similar sentiments... "Your fans rock!" "You have great fans!" "Wish I had fans like that!"
EVERYONE deserves friends and fans like that. So if you haven't done so already, won't you become a friend and fan of Cadavre? She deserves every bit of the love you've got in you!
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart--I truly mean it.
Okay--plenty more Hopefuls going Pink on my watch!
Among them are Arquette...
Harlough...
...and Ashly!
Meantime, there's a smashing new set from SG Salome, one of the stars of Undead Johnny's World of the Weird Monster Show!
Congrats to all... who's next?
Perhaps the ethereal Sileny with her debut set "Air?"
Or maybe HELLIZA will be "Going Down" next!
Ssh... it might be Kairi...
It may be that we'll go down a "Path Less Traveled" with adryna...
...or return to the land of the scintillating Scarlaa!
And last but by NO means least, it's the "moment you've been waiting for"--a set I teased quite some time ago from my very good friend Rayden! I happen to think this is her most beautiful and graceful work yet, and it deserves plenty of love--by all means stop by and tell her I sent you?
My friends are always so good to me--all I ask is that I can be half that in return.
Please share the love--please come see ALICE, and get ready for some more MANOR memories soon!
Yours always,
Remo D.

perhaps sometime i will... cause at this point it looks as though i might possibly be making my way down the coast to the healdsburg area.. which isnt TOO far away from Monterey.. i dont think so anyway.. =]
