An amazing and wonderful true story to share with you...
Tonight (Saturday) you'll get one more chance to see my personal, out-of-character tribute and farewell to two truly great friends... actor/filmmaker Paul Naschy and writer/artist Chas. Balun (who just happened to create the Naschy painting seen often on my show!). But the show debuted last night... and something wonderful happened the very moment it ended.
It's worth mentioning that over ten years ago, just before my son was born, Paul Naschy, the king of Spanish horror himself, was the first to offer him greetings via the Internet...
...but even though I corresponded with him frequently, the majority of our "conversations" were handled through his son Sergio (as he was far more comfortable with English than was his father). Naturally, Sergio and I have remained good friends over the year, and I made sure that he was aware of the tributes I was paying in our joint pledge to keep the legacy of his father alive.
So it came as no surprise that when my show ended last night, I found myself in a conversation with Sergio. And while he was (understandably) sad that his father could not be there (in person) to bear witness to this, he was plenty excited to tell me that he and his wife were on their way to the hospital... anticipating the birth of their daughter, to be named (you guessed it) PAULA!!!
I can't wait to share the details as they become available, but on THIS night of all nights, I finally returned a ten-year-old blessing by being the very first to send greetings to the only GRANDDAUGHTER of Paul Naschy.
You've got one more chance to see the special show (and one hell of an uncut, uninterrupted movie with werewolves, samurai, ninjas, violence, nudity, magic, you NAME it)... tonight at 10PM Pacific Time at www.ampmedia.org by choosing "Programs" and then "Web Stream" for Channel 24.
My friends--I am overwhelmed with emotion right now. And yet I must maintain the formalities (but for the sake of all those who've already voted, I will spoiler my brand-new pitch)...

But I WON'T be spoilering the latest triumphs of my Hopeful friendlies...
The delightful Miri's new set is called "Stacked" because it's set in a library--what were YOU thinking?!
Sultry Nicottine offers to show you something you'll always remember--and backs it up!
And while it TOOK long enough, this amazing set from the equally amazing Denie (a Hopeful Friendly who turned Pink before my very eyes) has finally hit the front page--enjoy it all over again!
Can't wait to see what next week holds... remember, vote for me and I'll always vote for you!
All my very best,
Remo D.
