Postcards from Mexico to the States can take awhile. I sent one on April 25th, postmarked May 9th, delivered to Iowa on May 22nd. (Oh, if people like postcards, they should PM me with an address.)
I haven't figured out how to change my blogging pic on sgbeta, but someday! someday! I'll take advice, too. Someday!
I successfully toasted a *DVD* image I picked up over xmas. (Well, toast is pretty good that way.) I have a couple of other projects that I'm working on...if people have ideas:
1) I need shop for a decent turntable, with which I will be converting my mom's old vinyls to cd. If you have recommendations, letmeknow.
2) I'm trying to fix a friend's broken watch. Not the watch part - the chain zips into a separate-but-not-separate pillbox-sized container. The spring is probably broken, as the chain doesn't zip all the way in. How does one open the pillbox thing?

Guitar Center has a good selection of cheap turntables, but it may be overkill to get a DJ-style one.
