looking for adventurers...
i am looking for someone to go with me, preferably in a platonic friendship-type arrangement, on a camping trip to the FL Keys during the last week in April with my best friend and her husband. i'm tentatively considering driving down and back, but could be persuaded to fly. the campsite is already reserved on bahia honda, one of the loveliest of the keys, about 20 minutes north of Key West. any takers?
this trip has been a much harder sell than i thought it would be. my platonic travel buddy from last year has too many obligations to tag along with me for much of anything this year. and most of my friends have either no money, no vacation time, a significant other to spend time with, or a combination of the above. or think that camping/road tripping/lying on the beach doesn't resemble a vacation in any way shape or form. *sigh*
but anyway.
weekend motivation lately has been looooooooow. i'm using it all up during the week, i think. i managed to spend 7 hours at the pig's eye yesterday drinking harpoon and reading a book. granted, i started out the day with three hours of paperwork and brainstorming over iced coffee at jaho.... but still. 7 hours at a bar is probably a bad sign.
today i am cooking chicken banana coconut bean curry. yay!
