Good news first.
The Cardiologist doesnt think that I'm going to die. In fact, he says my heart sounds and looks very healthy and that some moderate exercise and a well balanced diet will get me back on track in no time. Those minor heart arrythmias may continue to haunt me for years, but its either they go, or coffee and booze goes. I think we know what has priority here.
The bulk of my appointment was a lecture of sorts against tattoos and piercings. Y'know, sterilization and all that... icky viruses may get into the bloodstream and do damage to the ticker.
Well, that's what I'd have expected him to say. No, his argument was purely an asthetical one, saying that I might regret them 30 years down the line, I should probably think about getting the ones I have finished and then stop.
Thanks for the input doc.
Although, while he did admit that he didn't endorse tattooing in any form, he said that mine were "well designed and very well done."
I'm going to put that on the list of compliments I recieved this week, right up there with "you have a cute bum", "you're a really good kisser" and "you're really good at this."
The Bad news.
I haven't been paid in 4 weeks, and my last paycheque bounced.
One of my co-workers quit today, and another can't work until she gets her landed-immigrant status, leaving me alone to do the work of 3 people. Just as 2 new projects came into the office and I'm already swamped with 4 others.... ugh, there goes my dream of relaxing my way back to health.
Well,
You take the good
You take the bad
You take them both and there you have
The Facts of Life
The Facts of Life
If you heard them from your brother
Better check to see if the motherfucker
Got them right
The Facts of Life...
Dooo Deee Doooo.... lala

Tis always a good thing to know that you're gonna live longer than you thought you would just a day before.
