So I guess an introduction is in order...
My name is Raphie, I'm twenty years old and a quitter. Okay, not really a quitter, but I'm always trying to kick at least one of my dirty habits, usually without success. I've been all over the western side of this world (Canada, US, and Brasil) and it's brought me many cool experiences. I live eat and breathe music, and am pretty crazy/obsessive about it. I literally cannot function without hearing something that moves me a certain way and most of my extra cash goes towards buying CDs (Yes, I actually buy them, not rip and burn them.). Some of the standouts over last little while have been: Death From Above 1979, A Perfect Circle, Alexisonfire, Dallas Green (I know, not a 'band', but he has the best voice in the world in my opinion.), Rancid, MEST, Eighteen Visions, Bloc Party and The Used, just to name a few. I look forward to going to shows like a child looks forward to Christmas before they find out Santa doesn't exist. I'll be the first to admit that I am a guy's girl. I'm not a prissy, sissy, primping little bitch who takes two hours in the bathroom to slap cement on her face and call it makeup. Actually, I'm usually faster than most of the guys I know. I love to hang with the guys and will go out of my way to avoid the kind of girls that I hated in high school. On that note, I HATE drama. I put up with that shit for four years and will no longer put up with it, but I digress. I love men. I love them to death. I love everything they stand for and everything they are. I even love the ones that most girls look at and go, 'don't leave me in a room with him', because usually those are the most interesting and unique ones. That said, I thoroughly enjoy looking, listening and talking with/about these men. For those who need visuals as to who I usually go ga-ga over here are some examples: Tony Lovato (MEST), Joel Bourne, Dan Smith (both D&D), Trent Reznor, David Desrosiers, Matt Shadows and Jesse F. Keeler (DFA1979). Basically, if they have beautiful eyes, a great smile, and a good sense of style, I usually fall pretty hard, pretty quick. I cannot imagine life without interesting, diverse, beautiful men. ANYWAYS, I'm a makeup whore. I own so much crap it's ridiculous. Sadly, I hardly get to wear most of it because of where I work (It's not forbidden, I just don't feel like getting dirty looks all day). I am in love with M.A.C.'s eyeshadows as well as a shade of fluorescent pink my friend sent me from the states. I pride myself on doing makeup well, and doing looks that not many others are brave enough to try. As for the rest of my style it's pretty basic: band shirts, Chuck Taylors, funky jewelery, hoodies, jeans or black pants, emo hair (yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. I DIDN'T get it cut like that on purpose. I was just sick of my long hair and that's what she did to it. I've kept it just because it's easier to maintain.) But that's me.
