The holidays have been great from a pernsonal perspective. All 5 of my siblings have been in town for the holidays and to celebrate my parents' 70th birthdays. Dad's birthday was Dec. 8th and Mom's was on Christmas Day. Having the family together was the best Christmas present that I could ask for.
The holidays at work were very stressful. Purchasing inventory for 10 retail stores kept me busy, especially dealing with stock shortages and backorders. That part of the job is pretty normal for the holidays though. What has made things bad is that our owner sold the company effective Jan. 1st. There is a lot to get done by tomorrow. My job is then moving to St. Louis. That is only about 2hrs from where I live now, but I really am not anxious to move due to family and all my activities outside of work. Job hunting for something local now, but will probably have to move at least for a while.
The other big thing that I have going on is a trip to Vegas Jan. 8th-11th for the Consumer Electronics Show. If anyone else is attending or working the show, PM me so we can meet up. Vegas is one of my favorite towns to visit and I have access to some fun after hours activities during CES.
This has probably been my longest blog yet.
