Heya
So haven't posted one of these in a while, as I haven't really had anything worth talking or ranting about, however, I now do. I'm not one for random blogs, I prefer them to have at least some point to them.
So anyway new stuff... Finally got all my paperwork sorted for the DIsney Cruise Line job, CRB, VISA, ESTA and medical all sorted. Now it's in the hands of my recruiter and I'm simply awaiting my flights and arrival date in Orlando. Pretty damn excited about it now, been going through this process for months but now it's all done and I'm at the last step it's become very real and I'm hoping this path with lead me somewhere new and to somewhere from which I can successfully progress and be happy. I absolutely love working as a technician on shows and to get to tour the world whilst doing it - well you can guess the happiness value. I'm looking forward to seeing new places and having the cash to justify a new digital SLR so I can properly document my journey. Part of me will be sad leaving the UK for four months, but I'm sure things will be right where I left em when I get back.
I finally got round to fixing my laptop, it's been completely dead for months but I had a couple days free time so I stripped it down and it's now working as good as it ever has...it's being treated to this blog instead of my usual PC
It was a personal requirement of travelling again that I get this working and now that it is I feel more content about moving.
Sooooo, who's seen the new Harry Potter, I saw it Tuesday lunchtime at the locale IMAX and I have to say I was genuinely impressed. I found it to be probably the first HP movie that was truly watch-able, and well some of the lines and poor acting are simply hilarious. The chance to watch movies before they come out will be one of the few things I'll miss about working for ODEON, I've loathed my time there and will be happy to see the back of the place in the coming weeks.
I was in Edinburgh a week or so back with my old flatmate, was nice being back up in a city I grew to love and miss daily, though the trip didn't go so well. We were robbed whilst in the hostel, my mate split with his girl, a number of our so called friends - and one of my best friends, didn't bother showing up for our numerous nights out and our old favourite night - Antics, simply didn't live up to expectations. I somehow doubt I'll be making the effort to head up there again anytime soon. Whilst I love Edinburgh when I get back from America and begin pondering moving out again, I think London is going to be the preferred destination over Edinburgh or Manchester, always liked London and it's somewhere I definitely want to live for at least a couple years.
Talking of London and friends wants me to head down and hang out with her before I head of stateside again, so might be down there at some point. Should anyone be interested in random drinks I'm sure we'll both be very accommodating.
So that about wraps up me for the moment, guess that leaves one thing. What's happening SG? Anyone have anything fun to share?
Toodles!

Wow, that is some last minute planning! You're working on a cruise? My sister worked on cruise ships as a dancer, she was on the Carnival line down from Cape Canaveral to the Bahamas. I saw some of the Disney ships down there! You're going to have a blast.
