GAWD I HATE MY JOB!
There are so many, many politics involved in my job, it makes it very difficult to get anything done. For instance, (and this is boring, so just skip down if you feel like it) our contract was up at the end of April with the lawn contractor. He gave me a new bid, which was way higher than last year's, so it has to go through the Board of Directors for approval. Well, the April board meeting ran way, way over the time limit, and it didnt' come up for a vote. So, NOW they tell me they want other bids to see how they all stack up. MEANWHILE the grass on the three empty lots is knee high, and the dandelions on the historic lawn are out of control. So, NOW who do you think the board members are blaming for the crappy assed white trash looking lawns all over the complex??? ME, that's who. It sucks.
I won't even go into detail about the Debutante ball and how everyone is all up in arms this year because it is moving to a better location. Oh, did I mention that the community outreach non for profit organization I work for actually has a real Debutante ball? No? Hmmm...that's another story for a different day.
