so i did it... i ordered custom boots from the catskill moccasins booth at the sterling renaissance festival. knee high, dark brown, flat bottom boots, entirely custom so every part will fit perfectly. :o)
i scared the hell out of the fitter, margaret, while she was doing her job, though. i have kind of low blood pressure for the most part, and standing still really isn't my thing. i had to stand perfectly still (please stand up straight, look ahead) for a good 15-20 minutes, and even though i wiggled enough that margaret kept reminding me to stand still, pretty soon i heard the ocean in my head and started to spin and sweat. i have never passed out in my life, and didn't intend to, but i thought it was a distinct possibility. i told margaret "i have to sit down"... she said "just one more minute"... then she looked up at me and realized that if i didn't get down off that damn shelf that i was going to fall off it, most likely directly onto her. she helped me down, where i sat with my head as close to my knees as i could get it without falling over, and drank the glass of water that had been put in my hand. i immediately started to feel better. margaret asked me what my name was, what the date was. i answered. then the paramedic came and put an icepack on my neck. he asked me a few "keeping healthy outside in the summer" questions, like "have you been drinking plenty of water?" and "have you eaten?" (yes, and yes). he seemed satisfied. margaret finished my fitting, and then hugged me. the paramedic left.
spott and i agreed that ma, who was there with us, was NOT going to be informed of that little event. ever.
but... i ordered boots! and i should have them in about 6 months. woohoo!

Whoa...a lightheaded episode...i have plenty of those...i call them brain farts and they have nothing to do with anything but my short attention span. Take Care of yourself...those are the little things we refrain from letting our parental units know about...smart thinking!
Britt just wore out her welcome with about a million small behaviors and things changed when she took this new job earlier this year...she grew colder. I do know for the most part what I want in life...so I will focus and move onward! But back on those boots...hell yeah!
