this summer...
i got that bad news about my mom.
i turned 25.
spott & i took a long weekend trip to the philadelphia area to visit the city and Zenfinite. it was much fun! we did the zoo (worth the $16 each!), old philadelphia, the king of prussia mall, *matt's* club, the art museum... and Zenfinite is the kind of guy that when a woman wakes him up in the morning, he reaches out, grabs, and snuggles. SO. i got manhandled a bit that weekend. :o) good times!
my parents took spott & me to the renaissance festival. it was our first time there, so we just wandered around gaping most of the day. i am SO going to get myself a pair of those handmade boots next year. i don't care if they cost me $500! if they last 20 years, it is entirely worth it. oh, and next time? costumes for all!
spott's youngest sister moved back in with us. she is apparently done living at home (i don't blame her, she's almost 20.), and we had the space (and wanted the money). this time, though, her bedroom doesn't share a wall with ours. in fact, it is on the other end of the apartment from ours. so now we don't have to worry about bothering each other. woot!
recently, i applied for a new job at an ADT technician call center-which i have an interview for tomorrow morning. i want the benefits from ADT (they have better, less expensive, medical and offer domestic partnership benefits), but i actually like my job at omax. any job that pays me to make things is ok by me. so i'm keeping it. sure, i'll be running around like a maniac for a while, but i'll have more money, and it keeps the SAD at bay. i discovered that last fall while i was working 45-55 hours a week. i think you could classify it as "required busy-ness". i can't blow it off and just have myself to answer to. anyway, the plan is that, in the end, i have money for the holidays and to pay off a loan i have. last year i managed christmas gifts AND a car... and perhaps a winter vacation.
it is time to get ready for work.
later all!

You, my darling, are a wild rose (you'd have to retract your thorns before being placed on a bed - though I'm sure they'd come in handy once all the players were present!) So you will always be in my bunch - though it looks as if my option of living with you has just vanished! But good for Spotty's sis!!! I couldn't give you any kind of realistic answer anytime in the foreseeable future anyway... Rosy Kisses!
when you get a chance you should introduce yourself to the rest of the group and check out some of the events we have going on.
