Today I painted the cube black, well the outside at least. I'm thinking of painting the inside 18% gray for versatility, but we'll see. I had to use my roommate's digital camera and it sucked, it was crunching and vibrating. But I was able to get a few images out of it before the batteries died, behold the half-done cube. Hopefully I'll soon find a model to place inside.

I'm jealous of your mobile cube. But one thing bothers me about it. If the inside is 18 percent grey then that would make it about the same value as human skin. If you are doing black and white photography that would get a bit confusing and the figure might get lost. Unless that is what you are intending to do then I think the value should provide more contrast between the figure and the box. But I am really coming from out of the blue with minimal knowledge of what is going on so I might be completly wrong. If so just slap my hand and say no.
