As you may or may not know today was my last day at Tilly's and I was a very odd day. After four years I decided to move on to greener pastures . . . also known as Apple. I have loved my time at Tilly's and the only reason I'm leaving is to focus on school. Working full time and trying to go to school had been so hard. I came to the realization while sitting at my roommates graduation that I moved to San Jose to go to school and haven't really been doing that due to my full time job status. You have no idea what a huge decision it was for me to leave Tilly's. I love that place more than you'll know. I have very fond memories and enjoyed going to work almost everyday. If I was having a bad day as soon as I got to work my co-workers cheered me up and my worries were forgotten. My boss took me out for dinner and drinks tonight and it was a good time. We mostly talked work, but it was really enjoyable. As we parted ways we agreed to get drinks together every now and again to stay in touch. I got in my car and realized I hadn't thanked him for dinner so I sent him a text to sy thanks this was his response, "Haha, no problem. Good luck w/ ur nw job. It's been a pleasure =)" this moved me to tears. I sent him a message back that said thanks and I was really going to miss him and the store. His reply, "=) we all feel the same way!" At which point I started crying. And again as I write this. I love that company with all my heart and am truly sad to leave. For four years I have given my all to my various stores and districts. I have met some awesome people and had some wonderful opportunities. I will always look fondly on Tilly's and thank them for how they have helped me to grow. To all my kids at store 58 keep on rock'n I love you guys and thanks for all your hard work. I know not what the future and Apple hold for me, but I look forward to an new challenge and a chance to grow. Here's to the next chapter!
