Well like all good things that come to an end, so has my weekend. I really hate working the day shift, there are too many fucking people around and I have to actually pretend to care about what I'm doing.
The highlight of my day was when we had a fire alarm go off. I would normally say this is a fantastic way to waste half an hour or so, EXCEPT when it's almost 90 frickin' degrees outside with humidity to match.
On another weather related note, my mom called and left a voice mail for me while I was at work. And just like I expected it started; "I was watching the news this morning and saw the weather......". Many of you probably don't know how I feel about my mom. It's not that I hate her, or have a bad relationship with her, she just grates on my nerves a bit. She's sort of like radiation; in small doses it's not too bad, but too much, you'll get sick and die a painful death. That's why I'm happy to live on the other side of the continent from her.
I know, I'm a horrible son. I'll get over it.
Oh, one other thing; if not for my job, which as you know I despise, I would be up in D.C. getting ready to go see Nine Inch Nails with a good friend of mine. I would say I'm jealous that he's going and therefore mad at him, but he was kind enough to offer a free ticket in the first place if I could just get myself up there. So I have to direct my seething rage at my job, those that work around me and above me. Nothing spreads joy like a little hate.
