Odd dream I had last night.
I was standing on my fire escape, smoking. It was very late at night it seemed and everything was still. I could see myself, my view seemed to be a bit below head level, a few feet back from myself, but very wide angle, looking down past myself at the city spread out below me. I stood there for a minute smoking. Then time seemed to speed up, but not for me. The moon started accelerating across the sky, set and then the sun rose behind me. Koreatown woke up and started flying through it's day, and I still stood there, smoked, and watched. I watched the sun follow it's course and set in the west, and the moon rise again. I stood there through about three or four days that way. The moon replacing the sun every day, and the city going about it's business below me at a breakneck pace. Then I slowly stubbed out my cigerette and woke up.
I'm not sure what to make of it, but it felt very peaceful to just stand there and watch life go on without me.
