Motivation was lacking to write anything for a few months, so it's been awhile since I did a monthly favorites post. I've dragged myself out of the doldrums and put fingers to keyboards for a July Favorites post. July was chock full of wonderful sets; it was hard to settle on just five but I ended up settling on these. So, in no particular order:
"Rebel Rebel" with @steeh by @gossip - Steeh's amazing natural curves are beautifully accented by the black lingerie and red and black shirt, which in turn stand out against the mostly light colored background. Then there are her eyes, how can you resist those gorgeous eyes? This may only be her second set, but Steeh is already one of my favorite SGs. Surely it won't take this set long to hit the front page!
"Love at First Sight" with @andreearosse by Mr. Gri Photography - What a stunning debut Hopeful set, and appropriately named because this is our first sight of Andreearosse and if you're like me, you've definitely fallen in love! She is extraordinarily beautiful and Mr. Gri has perfectly captured her sensuality and sultriness. There is a smoldering heat in this set; those dark, powerful eyes burn right through you... It will be a crime if this set doesn't quickly find its way to the front page.
"Simple Things" with @brunabruce by @yoguealencar - A magnificent set! I love the beginning of the set in particular. The look in her eyes and those expressions in those first 6 photos are sublime, but the eyes and expressions are what make the rest of the set, too. In pinup art, it's often the expressions and the eyes that make the difference between good and great and this set is a perfect example of that.
"Check Yourself" with @saturn by @harrythethird - This is a wonderful pinup set. Saturn is absolutely gorgeous and the set has elements of backstage show business and vintage glamour, but I also appreciate the technical aspects of this set. I love Harrythethird's use of light and shadow and the mirror. I'd love to see this one on the front page!
"Squeaky Clean Fun" with @twitchling by @frankandame - This a marvelous example of the modern pinup. Twitchling always reminds me of classic pinup models and the fun attitude of this set absolutely harkens back to classic pinup art. There's always something sexy and erotic about shower or bathtub sets but photo 48 is what really makes this set for me - head back, laughing and covered in bubbles, it's just joyfully sexy. I don't see how that photo can't bring a smile to your face! Great work by both model and photographer; this is a set that should be on the front page.
