It may not have felt like it lately, but Spring is on the way. We may have had some cold weather the last few weeks, but on recent photo outings to the area refuges I've been seeing less migratory waterfowl and more Alligators and turtles. There are still some Blue Winged Teal, Ring-necked Ducks, Northern Shovelers, and Coots hanging around but in lesser numbers and the number of alligators and turtles seen have been going up. As always, there were plenty of the graceful and elegant Great Blue Herons as well as White Ibis and Tri Color Herons.
